#honestly#this quote makes me so happy#as a kid I related more to the Rose aspect of the show#being a teen without direction or not even knowing if I could expect more#but as an adult….my god Donna Noble just breaks my heart sometimes#that feeling of not being enough when you and everyone else put value into what job you have or if you even have one#she doesn’t say that she isn’t special because of lack of smarts or talent#not outright#she doesn’t say she’s working as a temp#she says I AM a temp#like she as a person is only what her job is#and her job is only temporary#nothing solid#it doesn’t require much skill to her and the rest of the world#and my gooooood#that must chip away your self-esteem so much#but then she is the most important person in the whole of creation#because of who she truly is#not her job or whatever#but because of who she is as a person#because there’s so much more to her than her job#aaaaahhhh#getting so emotional about this because the world is just so tough sometimes#and then i remember this quote#and i remember that ones value isn’t what you do for work#you’re so much more than that
